Software Developer

Position: 2 x Software Developers   ( 1 X Full time, 1 x Contracting)

Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience

A position exists for a software developer involved in providing functionality to dot Net, ASP and PHP web sites. Our user base ranges from SME's and Medium Enterprises but also increase in size to include Argos and Members of the DSGi group, Curry's, PC world and others. The successful applicant will be required to maintain and develop modules associated with Premier's software product offerings which include DataBank Offsite Data Storage and Active Archive Data Management Software

A suitable candidate would have the following

• An efficient and methodical approach to all duties with the ability to work under pressure to tight timescales
• Requirements analysis skills focusing on identification and prioritisation of requirements based on business need
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills in relation to fault finding on software systems
• Excellent software engineering design skills
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, the software development lifecycle and configuration management process
• Excellent SQL skills, familiarity with complex SQL statements essential
• Experience of SQL Server data base administration highly desirable however equivalent skills will be considered
• At least 3 years commercial development experience using . NET  with a good working knowledge of .NET 1.1 and 2.0 framework.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and servers hosting relational database platforms (Windows 2003 server preferred) operating in a client server environment
• Ability to pick up new tools and development languages quickly
• Ability to communicate internally and externally in an effective manner.


Web Developer

Position: Web Developer (x2)

Salary: Negotiable 16K - 20K

Essential Skills: HTML, CSS, PHP or ASP

Start Dates: Various dates, projects driven.

• Are you a web developer with PHP and/or ASP skills?
• Do you design databases using mySQL or SQL Server etc?
• Are you a proficient hand coder of HTML and CSS?

We currently have opportunities for freelance web developers that wish to be office or home based workers. You will be working with off the shelf open source and proprietary products, including our own shopping cart product, whilst building bespoke applications using either ASP, PHP or ASP.NET.
